Thirsty for a coffee, a refreshing tea or want to cool down with a cold tasty milk shake? Dutch Bros can satisfy those cravings, and one just opened for business in Donna.

Dutch Bros Coffee is a drive-through coffee chain that recently opened in Donna and is located at the shopping center on FM 493. They also offer energy drinks and enjoy serving up their customers with energetic smiles.

“Im super excited about opening up a Dutch Bros in Donna, its a great community and great area for Dutch Bros in a nice new development,” said Jaron Kroplin, Donna Dutch Bros store operator. “We really want to connect with the customers to give them a reason to come back besides coffee. We want our customers to smile when the leave with their drink.”

Kroplin said the menu carries coffee, tea, sodas, lemonade, energy drinks, coffee hot, iced or blended, and pastries.

“Our most popular is the “Golden Eagle,” a caramel macchiato,” or the “Rebel” energy drink,” Kroplin said.

Customers can receive their first medium drink free. Just download the Dutch Bro app on the phone and join the rewards program. Using the app offers rewards, contactless payment and offers more fun earning style stickers with purchases.

On Friday many members of the community did just that and enjoyed their first Dutch Bros coffee, tea and shakes at the store’s official business ribbon cutting. And to add to the special occasion, Donna North’s drum line serenaded the event as the Lady Chiefs cheer team danced and cheered to the beat.

“This is awesome that we have another coffee shop in town,” said Joey Garza, Donna city commissioner. “Donna is growing and the shops on 493 are doing well and there is more to come.”

Mayor Pro Tem Oscar Gonzales invites everyone to come over and take a look at the menu and try it out the new business.

“The vision is to attract more businesses to Donna,” Gonzales said at the celebration.

Dutch Bros has made quick growth in the Rio Grande Valley, making Donna’s location the fourth to open for business in the region. Other locations are Alamo, McAllen, Harlingen, and another soon to open in neighboring town of Weslaco.

Mayor David Moreno thanked Dutch Bros Store Operator Jaron Kroplin at the ribbon cutting and expressed thankfulness and welcomed Kroplin and the Dutch Bros team to Donna, the business community and family.

“We want to make Donna a destination city, great things are coming to the city of Donna,” said David Moreno, Donna mayor. “This is a great day to have a cup of coffee.”
