DONNA — The Donna News caught up with Donna High Varsity Volleyball Sophomore Isabel Lawson, and here is what she had to say about looking forward to this years season and herself.

Q: What’s your goal for the team this season?
A: My goal for the team is to establish a good connection with each other and learn how to work with each other on the court.
Q: What did you do in the off-season to prepare for this season?
A: I trained throughout the offseason and played during the summer.
Q: Is there a team you look forward to playing this season, why?
A: I look forward to playing Edcouch this season since we should have some equal competition. It’ll be fun to see who comes out on top.
Q: What’s your best memory as a Donna ISD volleyball player?
A: The best memories have to be the funny conversations we have as a team before games.
Q: What are your personal goals for this season?
A: My goal for this season is to grow more confident on the court.

A: I hope to be having fun and being successful.
Q: Who is the biggest jokester on the team? What makes this person so funny?
A: Amariyah is probably the funniest on the team. She can make any situation fun.
Q: What is one thing you love most about Donna?
A: The traditions that have carried on for generations.
Q: Describe how you started getting into volleyball?
A: I started getting into volleyball during middle school.
Q: What is your favorite part about being a student-athlete?
A: Having relationships with different kinds of people that come to play the same sport.
