The Bravettes were on center court once again after finishing their regular season with a victory over Mercedes Tigers on the road Tuesday.

They defeated the Tigers 51-46 in a team effort with all hands on deck.

In their win against Mercedes Emily Jones led all scores with 14 points. Following Jones was Ivette Valladares, 13; Brianna Duran, 11; Yzella Perez, 9; Astrid Meza, 2; Emily Torres, 2.

The Bravettes finished their season 12-2 in District 32-5A. Their only two defeats coming from the hands of Brownsville Veterans Memorial.

For their achievement the Bravettes were recognized at school and given flowers for their success and for reaching the post season.

On Tuesday the Bravettes will collide with McAllen Memorial at McAllen High for the Bi-District Championship.
