The Donna News caught up with Junior Guard Briana Duran to ask her about the basketball season and her game. Here’s what she had to say in the Meet the Bravettes Q&A:
Q: Who’s your favorite professional basketball player?
A: Kobe Bryant
Q: Who’s the greatest basketball player of all time?
A: Kobe Bryant
Q: When did you first know you loved to play basketball?
A: In elementary
Q: Who do you model your basketball game from?
A: My sister when she played basketball
Q: What is your signature basketball move?
A: 3 point shooting
Q: What do you do to get ready for game time?
A: Shoot around before the game and make sure I have some goals
Q: Who has helped you get to the level you are at in basketball?
A: The coaches and outside leagues
Q: What does it mean to you to be on the varsity team?
A: Being on varsity to me means how I know I have some skills to help the team and how we can all trust one another to get where we need to be.
Q: What is your main goal for the basketball season?
A:To have a decent amount of steals, shots, and assists
Q: What is your favorite memory as a basketball player on the varsity?
A: When we all work together in practice and games. How when we shoot around we all push one another to get better.
Q: What is one of your goals for after high school?
A: To know what college I’ll be in and have a stable living.
Q: What is your dream school/university?
A: Texas A&M
Q: What is your favorite classroom subject?
A: Math
