Bravettes pick up another win against Brownsville Pace

DONNA — The Donna High Girls basketball team traveled to Brownville to take on the Pace Vikings for their second District 32-5A contest, and the Bravettes’ offense was better in each quarter of the contest.
The Bravettes rolled to a 44 -33 victory over the Vikings on Dec. 17.
Leading scorer for the Bravettes was Emily Jones with14. Also scoring were, Yezella Perez, 10; Amariyah Mathews, 10; Ivette Valladares, 5; Emily Torres, 3; Danna Beaz 2.
The win keeps them undefeated (2-0) in District play.
The Bravettes are 12-7 on the season, and are riding a three game winning streak heading into their match up with Edinburg Economedes for a non District clash on the hardwood today at 2 p.m. at Donna High.
This will be Donna High’s second meeting with Edinburg Economedes this season.
Donna High Edinburg defeated Economedes 40-39 in a thriller at the Weslaco Tournament in November.
