Donna High rolls, next up Brownsville Veterans Memorial

Donna High will look to start their match with Brownsville Veterans Memorial right where they left off with their 21-9 win over Brownsville Pace.
Donna High (2-5, 2-5) is currently tied for the sixth place in District 16-5A Division I. Brownsville Veterans (5-3, 5-2) is sitting in a three way tie for the third spot with McAllen Rowe and Weslaco East.
Donna High will face Brownsville Veterans on the road at Sams Stadium Friday Oct. 29, at 7 p.m.
Recapping Donna High’s win over Brownsville Pace Freshman Quarterback Geoffrey Lefevre passed for 115 yards. He had 10 completions on 21 attempts, and his longest pass of the night went for 36 yards on a 91-yard scoring drive.
Donna High’s Jake Garcia scored twice to help lift his team to victory. Garcia finished with 29 yards rushing on 14 carries.
Also scoring for the Redskins was Victor Sandoval on a pick six interception late in the fourth quarter.
Also coming up with interceptions in the contest were Francisco Contreras and Brian Juarez.
Also helping move the ball for the Redskins: Luis Silva ran for 22 yards on 4 carries his longest run for 11 yards. Marco Lopez totaled 29 yards on three carries on the night. Lopez averaged 9.7 yards per carry and his longest run was for 17 yards gained.
