Donna Early Voting coming to an end Friday, Election Nov. 2

Decision day is nearly here, and there are some hot topics on the ballot. 

On the ballot aside from proposed constitutional amendment propositions are term limit extensions for the Donna mayor, council-members and municipal judge.

Donna Council Member Place 2 Joey Garza is up for re-election and is running unopposed.

Donna Council Member Place 4 Eloy Avila Jr., the incumbent, is running against Oscar Gonzales. 

Last day for early voting is October 29. Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Early voting and Election Day for the City of Donna precincts is at the Amigos Del Valle located at 1408 Silver Ave.

See the sample ballot by clicking here. On the ballot are six propositions to the State Constitution. 

The ballot also includes to City propositions A, B and C calling for the the extension of term limits for the Mayor, Council Members and Donna Municipal Judge.

Currently the elected officials terms last three years. The Propositions seeks to extend term limits for the elected officials and Municipal Judge to four years.
