And she finished third all time with 176 goals scored her senior season. Her coach  Tony Garcia said had she played all of last season and this season, due to the cancelation of games because of COVID -19 Aviles would have reached 200 goals or more.

Aviles signed her letter of intent at Donna North High to play soccer at the college level at Hardin Simmons, an NCAA Division III college in Abilene, Texas, that competes in the American Southwest Division. She finished her career with many accomplishment on the field as a four year starter for Donna North.

Prior to joining the varsity, Coach Garcia had heard whispers of a young talent coming up the ranks in Gabby.

He said he had his suspicions, but when he sent her in for the first time he realized she could play with the best of them as she helped Donna North to a victory after scoring multiple goals.

Aviles scored 49 goals as a junior and 49 goals as a senior as the Chiefs finished second in a loaded District 32-6A, and led the team to the third round of the playoffs.
