Weekend food stands raise bucks for Donna Parks and Recreation Department
DONNA — The food stands at the park were a hit as many residents and out of towners stopped by to grab an eveining snack.
Partial proceeds from the event went to the Donna Parks and Recreation.
“I would like to thank each one of you that were able to make it out there and our current Mayor & City Council for their support.I truly appreciate the support you have shown me and the city we love and live in,” said J.J.Casiano, Donna Parks Director said on Facebook. “The total amount raised was $10,444.00. I will hold another meeting to allow input and thoughts about how and where said funds should be allocated to our parks.”
He said there is a very big demand for more baseball/softball fields in our city.
“Again thank you for your support,” Casiano said. “Together we will make a Better Donna, Texas.”
