Donna High powerlifters finish top 10 at State

DONNA — Donna High was represented well by its two athletes who qualified to compete at the State Powerlifting Championship held in Corpus Christi.
Valeria Gutierrez finished third in the competition as she went on to lift a total of 800 pounds.
Her teammate, Angelina Yanez, finished in eighth place at the competition as she went on to lift a total of 890 pounds.
Each athlete battled against the strongest powerlifters in the State.
Donna High School announced their success and congratulated the athletes and Powerlifting Head Coach Jeff LeFevre on Facebook late Saturday March 20, after the competition.
