Donna High Varsity gell at tri-scimmage against Harlingen High, PSJA High

The Donna Redskins traveled to Pharr for a tri-scrimmage against two top teams in the area — Harlingen High Cardinals and PSJA High Bears.
After the game Head Coach Mike Gonzales said it was a great opportunity for the team to test its skills and working together as team.
“The team was gelling and we played against two of the toughest teams in the Rio Grande Valley,” Gonzales said.
Gonzales said the matchup against the Cardinals and the Bears was a good test for his team as they prepare for District 16-5A Division I action in September. The Redskins are in a 10 team district mixed with McAllen, Brownsville teams.
Donna High opens the season against with its annual hometown non-district rivalry game against Donna North Aug. 27, at 7 p.m. at Bennie La Prade Stadium.
