The Donna News caught up with the Donna North Soccer Varsity team before the end of their season. Here is what a few of the players had to say about themselves, their season and what it means to be apart of the team. The Chiefs ended their season in a playoff match against Los Fresnos 2-0 with a record of 10-8-2 overall and 7-7 in District 31-6A.

When did you know you wanted to play varsity soccer, and how hard did you work to make it happen?:I knew when I saw many players talking about how cool and exciting it was, so I worked day and night to get the right physique to be able to compte against the varsity players who already had experience.
What is your favorite part of being a member of the team? Seeing every one happy after a win even after a loss.
What is your most memorable moment as a player? Getting to practice and joking around with all my teammates.
How do you balance being an athlete on the field and being a student in the classroom? Its pretty hard but I also work, and I arranged my schedule to be able to handle all the homework, heavy work outs and the stress of work.
What are your goals both academically and athletically? I want to attend a four year college and get a four year degree and play soccer at the college level.
What are your plans both now and in the future? Succeed

What is your favorite part of being a member of the team? My favorite part is being with the whole team together, doing what I like with many friends.
What is your most memorable moment as a player? I don’t really have a moment, but in a game I gave my 100% and I liked it.
How do you balance being an athlete on the field and being a student in the classroom? I balance the two because in my mind at home I am a student and on the court I am a player.
What are your goals both academically and athletically? My goals are to go as far as possible to give my 100% energy and just wait for it.
What are your plans both now and in the future? Well my plans are to finish my high school and work.
