Donna High ends season in Bi-District Championship

The Donna New
Donna High’s up-tempo and sharp shooting was not enough to get past Sharyland Pioneer in their bi-district contest.
Pioneer was able to edge Donna High 63-55 in the thriller.
Before the tip off Donna High was one of 132 teams left in the State Playoffs.

Pioneer proved to be a bigger team as they were able to put up second shot attempts and crashed the boards on defense while Donna High struggled to find their momentum and a way to win.
Donna High finished the season 10-3 in District. It is the second year in a row they reached the playoffs.
Seniors #1 Roger Rodriguez, #3 Eddy Epperson, #4 Jonah Maldonado, #50 Christopher Alvarez were praised by the Athletic Department for a job well done and their contributions to the basketball program.
Senior point guard Eddy Epperson had reached the 1,000 scoring mark going into the contest against Pioneer.
He played on the varsity all four years of his high school career.
His coach stated he moved up the ranks and improved each year.
