Democratic Rally and Meet-and-Greet Scheduled for Saturday in Donna
DONNA, Texas — A Democratic rally and meet-and-greet featuring local and regional political figures is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 10, in Donna, offering residents an opportunity to meet candidates and elected officials.
According to the event announcement, the rally will begin at 7 p.m. at 121 S. Eighth St. in Donna. The event is advertised as family-friendly and will include food, drinks and live music.
Featured participants include Gina Hinojosa, candidate for Texas governor; Bobby Pulido, candidate for U.S. Congress; Terry Palacios, district attorney; Andrew Gonzalez, candidate for justice of the peace, Precinct 1, Place 2; Richard Gonzalez, identified as Democratic chair; Lita Leo, county treasurer; and Laura Hinojosa, district clerk.
State Rep. Armando Martinez is scheduled to serve as master of ceremonies.
The gathering is expected to provide attendees with an opportunity to meet the featured political figures, hear from participants and engage with the community ahead of the November election season.
